unifi Air is the brand name for TM’s home wireless broadband service which the company rolled last August although it was already leaked out a month before that. The service was first offered to selected Streamyx customers before being made widely available in September 2019.
However, customers need to physically visit TMpoint to register for the service. This policy has finally been changed earlier this month as customers now able to obtain unifi Air through unifi’s official website.
At this moment, unifi Air can be obtained in two options with the first one being the SIM + Device plan which is inclusive of the Huawei B618-65 4G LTE CPE and 24-month contract. For online registration, the 4G LTE CPE will be delivered directly to the customer’s home.
The other plan only provides a SIM card although it does not come with any contract. Regardless of the plan that you choose, they each cost RM 79 per month but do note that there is also an upfront fee of RM 100 when you first sign up for the service. This amount will be reverted back into your 1st month bill.
Given its wireless nature, you should indeed verify whether your area is within unifi’s LTE coverage or otherwise before signing up for the service. For more information, do check out unifi’s official website right here.
