One week has passed since throngs of gamers crashed Epic Games Store (EGS) to get their hands on the Grand Theft Auto V for free. That also means it is now time to visit EGS once again to check out the next game that EGS will be handing out for free.
For this week, EGS has decided to release Sid Meier’s Civilization VI as its free game title of the week. While the reaction to the free release might not be as big as GTA V and certainly didn’t push the limit of EGS servers to their knees, Civilization VI is still quite a well-known title among gamers.
Originally released in 2016, Civilization VI is the latest iteration of the Civilization turn-based strategy game series which began back in 1991. The PC version was generally received well by critics and gamers alike with millions of units have been sold since its release four years ago.
Two expansions called Rise and Fall as well as Gathering Storm have since been released for Civilization VI although they are not part of EGS free release. Meanwhile, do note that the free Civilization VI offer at EGS will last until 28 May at 11 PM, so don’t sleep on it.
