After missing out from the scene throughout 2019, POCO is back into the foray and has just launched its second 2020 phone last night. Called POCO F2 Pro, the phone is essentially a rebadge of Redmi K30 Pro that was announced by Xiaomi back in March.
If you have been looking forward to getting your hands on the K30 Pro since then, you can now prepare to welcome the arrival of F2 Pro in our market. In a short media note provided by Xiaomi Malaysia today, the company has confirmed that the newly announced phone is already on its way to our shores.
However, the company did not provide any exact launch date for the F2 Pro though. Of course, it could be anytime soon as the phone has recently passed through the inspection by SIRIM.
Once F2 Pro arrive in Malaysia, it would be the third Snapdragon 865-based phone from Xiaomi to be released in our market after Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. Pricewise, we expect the F2 Pro to cost much lower than the two Mi 10 devices.
However, it remains to be seen how different the price tag would be since the European pricing for F2 Pro starts at around RM 2,300 while in China, the K30 Pro costs around RM 1,800. With that, we’ll keep you posted once we receive further update from Xiaomi Malaysia.
