Awhile ago, we heard that the PlayStation 5 will come with a new digital assistant called PlayStation Assist. The bad news is that it could be used to push microtransactions. Now, we see what can be considered good news instead. A new patent suggests that it can predict the amount of time you’ll need to beat a particular game.
More specifically, it could tell you the amount of time you’ll spend on a particular objective in the game. One image in the patent describes the digital assistant giving you the estimate. At the same time, it also suggests doing something that will be quicker, if you don’t have the time to do the initial thing.
Expanding on the feature, the PlayStation 5 digital assistant can also offer you tips and tricks to shorten the amount of time to clear an objective. An image depicts the digital assistant giving you alternate strategies to complete your current objective. As an aside, it’s nice to see that the image in question is clearly a sketch of a scene from God of War.
Unfortunately, this coming as a patent means its being on the PlayStation 5 is far from certain. But if the digital assistant does make its way into the console, hopefully this also feature makes the cut.
