As rumour mill surrounding the POCO F2 begins to churn again, the internet is still rife with speculation as to when the successor to the brand’s 2018 flagship will be making its debut. An event that, by the way, could be happening sooner rather than later.
After a quick search on the SIRIM database, a device with the model number M2004J11G was listed on the page, under the brand name of Xiaomi Malaysia. The listing doesn’t list down any specific details, save for the fact that the device is a mobile phone and that it supports 5G. What is important, though, is that a quick search for the model number points to the device being the long-awaited POCO F2.
Again, there is still no official information about the POCO F2’s specs, not even its camera. The most recent announcement from the brand came in the form of a tweet via its official account, with only the words “POCO is back”. The post also came with several promotional images, one of which hinted at the 2nd generation POCO device will have a full screen display, free from notches and punch holes.
We’re also still in the dark about when exactly the Xiaomi sub-brand will be launching the phone. But, as we said, it’s likely that the launch will be sometime within the following couple of months. Of course, this is all just speculation, so we do suggest that you do not hang on our every word on the matter.
