Huawei recently launched the FreeBuds 3i, an update to their current gen true wireless earbuds, in Europe on 6 May 2020. What sets it apart from its predecessor is the inclusion of active noise cancellation (ANC) as well as some tweaked internals.
The FreeBuds 3i features a 3-mic system which consists of two outward facing microphones, while the third faces inwards. This would enhance voice quality when doing hands-free or video calls, according to the company. Additionally, its ANC system is able to filter noise of up to 32dB, and the device itself also features IPX4 water resistance.
In terms of battery life, Huawei claims that the FreeBuds 3i will last up to 3.5 hours on a single charge for music listening, and 2.5 hours for calls. The earbuds can last up to an additional 14.5 hours with the charging case. The company adds that the buds themselves will take about an hour for a full charge within the case, while the case itself will require little over an hour.
The Huawei FreeBuds 3i is available in Ceramic White and Carbon Black, and is retailing at EUR89.99 (~RM420). Aside from the charging case, the earbuds will come with 4 silicone tip sizes and 10mm dynamic drivers. Huawei has not announced any plans to release this device outside of Europe for now.
