It was only yesterday that DJI has officially launched the latest consumer-grade drone under its wing, the Mavic Air 2. Even though you can’t easily fly drones these days due to the Movement Control Order (MCO), that doesn’t mean you can’t get you hands on one though.
Multiple local retailers have begun to accept pre-orders for the drone from DJI. In case you missed the original announcement, the price for the standard Mavic Air 2 package is RM 3,290 while the Mavic Air 2 Fly More Combo which includes a set of ND filters alongside a battery charging hub, power bank adaptor, and shoulder bag goes for RM 4,290.
Among such retailers including long-time authorized DJI drone dealers, March and Drones Kaki. Other than that, Harvey Norman has also started to accept Mavic Air 2 pre-orders while the same goes for All IT Hypermarket although it only caters for the Mavic Air 2 Fly More Combo at the moment.
As for the arrival date, it somehow varies from one retailer to another but in general, expect the Mavic Air 2 to arrive in Malaysia from mid-May onwards. But as per we said earlier, do make sure to keep track of updates from authorities regarding drone rules and regulations as they could be different under MCO circumstances even for consumer-grade drones such as Mavic Air 2.
