Samsung Electronics (Samsung) announced that starting today, its Smart TVs will now be able to stream music from Apple Music. For consumers who have a subscription to the latter, it means yet another point of accessibility for their favourite music within the platform.
To be precise, the Apple Music app will be available for download to Samsung Smart TVs sold between the year 2018 and 2020, and in more than 100 countries. This also means that subscribers gain access to more than 60 million songs completely ad-free, music videos, and thousands of playlists that Apples say are “curated by world class music experts and tastemakers”.
So, if you happen to own a Samsung Smart TV, you should be able to download the Apple Music app via the brand’s Smart TV app store. Once you’ve downloaded and installed it, users simply need to sign in using their existing Apple ID to instantly begin listening, or simply subscribe there and then to gain access.
On that note, Samsung Smart TV owners can try out Apple Music free, for a period of three months using either an individual, family, or student subscription.
