OPPO Malaysia has posted a teaser of a new A-series smartphone on their official Facebook page. The teaser reveals a quad-camera layout on the phone’s back, which is believed to be either the A52 or the A72 models that were recently unveiled in Europe – also featuring similar camera placements and rear casing design.
The OPPO A52 sports a 6.5-inch LCD display with FHD+ resolution and a punch-hole camera cutout. The phone features dual speakers, as well as a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Under the hood is a Snapdragon 665 chipset, along with 8GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Powering it is a large 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
Camera-wise, the A52 sports a quad-camera setup consisting of a 12MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, and two 2MP modules for macro and depth sensing. Housed within the punch-hole cutout is an 8MP selfie camera.
Meanwhile, the OPPO A72 also sports similar specifications and features to its sibling, save for some minor differences in storage capacity and camera setup. The phone comes with 128GB internal storage, while its quad-cameras sport a 48MP main shooter and its punch-hole cutout houses a 16MP selfie camera.
OPPO Malaysia did not announce an expected launch date for the new phone just yet. Expect more information and pricing for the new phone to also be unveiled when the time comes.
