Besides its new Forge 15R notebook with AMD Ryzen desktop processors, Singapore-based notebook maker Level51 also refreshed its other currently existing Forge lineup with the latest 10th Gen Intel Mobile CPUs. This includes the Forge 15S and the more powerful Forge 15X.
Starting with the Forge 15S, customers have a choice between a 4-cores i5-10300H or 6-cores Core i7-10750H. By default, the base model uses the former, while upgrading to the latter will cost an additional RM379. On another note, Level51 will also apply Kryonaut’s Thermal Grizzly compound on to the CPU at no extra charge.
Graphics-wise, Level51 pairs the 10th Gen Intel Core processors in the Forge 15S with either an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 or GTX 1650 Ti. On a related note, the display is a 15.6-inch Full HD panel, but customers can choose between the standard 60Hz or 120Hz refresh rate. Like the GPU, opting for the 120Hz refresh rate comes at a price, and that price is RM139.
Other specs of the Forge 15S include up to 32GB (16 x 2) dual-channel DDR4 RAM, up to 1TB NVMe SSD and 2TB HDD storage, the maker’s “tactile hybrid” per-key RGB keyboard, and the usual accoutrement of USB and display output ports.
The Level51 Forge 15S retails for RM3420 for the base model, while the top-tier model will retail for RM6408.
Moving on, the Forge 15X is without a doubt the powerhouse between the two Intel-centric variants. It’s the only model equipped with Intel’s 8-cores Core i7-10875H CPU, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, and comes with up to 32GB of dual-channel DDR4 RAM. For its display, the notebook uses a 15.6-inch Full HD Premium AHVA IPS panel, complete with a refresh rate of 144Hz.
Like the Forge 15S, its CPU can also be slathered with Kryonaut’s Thermal Grizzly compound for more efficient cooling and at no additional cost. For storage, the base version of the laptop comes with a 500GB NVMe SSD that can be upgraded to 1TB, along with either a 1TB or 2TB HDD.
The base model of the Level51 Forge 15X starts at RM5099, while a fully decked out version will obviously cost significantly more at RM7569. For now, you can only preorder either Forge 15 model, but Level51 says that the first batch of notebooks will be ready to ship out early next month.
