Rumours about this particular device were everywhere for the past few months but now, you can finally put them aside as Apple has officially launched the second-generation iPhone SE. While the design might be a little bit dated as compared to iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro series, the new device still features the same A13 Bionic chip.
Similarly, the second-gen iPhone SE is also equipped with a small 4.7-inch display and lower resolution Retina HD IPS panel at 1334 x 750. As you can notice from the design, there is no Face ID support on the new second-gen iPhone SE too and relies on Touch ID through its home button as biometric security.
Another noticeable difference between the new phone and its high-end iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro family members is their cameras. For example, the second-gen iPhone SE comes with just one 12MP wide-angle f/1.8 camera which still support Portrait mode but not the Night mode.
On the front, the IP67-certified phone is also equipped with a lower resolution 7MP FaceTime HD camera. Not surprisingly, the second-gen iPhone SE also comes with a smaller battery that has similar battery life as per iPhone 8.
It still has wireless charging feature though as well as Wi-Fi 6 and dual SIM support. For now, the release date for the second-gen iPhone SE is not yet known for Malaysia though.
Then again, Apple has assured that it is indeed on the way to our market and have even revealed its Malaysian pricing. The second generation iPhone SE with 64GB will be available for RM 1,999 while the 128GB and 256GB variants can be obtained for RM 2,199 and RM 2,699 respectively.
