Samsung quietly launched its new Galaxy Tab S6 Lite tablet very recently. As its name suggests, the Tab S6 Lite is essentially a watered-down version of the more powerful Galaxy Tab S6 that made its debut last year.
Specs-wise, Tab S6 Lite features a 10.4-inch display, but instead of its being an AMOLED screen, Samsung has gone with a TFT panel for the tablet instead, which could mean a lower colour accuracy and brightness levels. Despite the downgrade, however, it still has a maximum resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels.
Specs-wise, the Tab S6 Lite runs on Samsung’s Exynos 9611 SoC, plus 4GB RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. Interestingly, the tablet also comes with S Pen support, although it’s still unclear if a stylus is actually included with every tablet.
The Tab S6 Lite’s main camera is only a single 8MP sensor while the selfie camera is rated at 5MP, both of which are generous enough. After all, you don’t purchase a tablet for its photography prowess. On another note, the tablet’s speakers are tuned by AKG and support Dolby Audio. Lastly, powering up the device is a hefty 7000mAh battery.
At the time of writing, it appears that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is currently only available in Indonesia, and Samsung Malaysia still hasn’t provide any information regarding local availability or pricing.
