realme Malaysia has announced that the realme 6i will be launching in Malaysia soon. In fact, it will happen this week, according to the company’s announcement on its official Facebook account. And as you’d expect with the extension of the Movement Control Order (MCO), this launch will be streamed online.
The realme 6i is also touted as the first phone to run the MediaTek G80 chipset in Malaysia. Other items on its spec sheet include a 6.5-inch HD+ display, a large 5000mAh battery, and 3GB + 64GB and 4GB + 128GB combos as possible RAM and storage configurations. On cameras, it will have a 48MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP quad combo at the back, with a 16MP front-facing camera.
It looks like the company is not going with the Narzo name either. Last month, a Narzo 10 was spotted in India, sporting the same model number of RMX2040 as the realme 6i. It also had the same MediaTek G80 chipset. It remains to be seen if the Narzo device will make its way here in another form.
But either way, the realme 6i is set to be unveiled in Malaysia on 16 April 2020 at 8:30PM. The live stream will happen on the company’s Facebook page, linked below.
