Final Fantasy VII Remake (FFVIIR) is just two days away from its grand launch. Sadly, it looks like Malaysian who preordered a physical copy of the game won’t be receiving it on the launch day itself. The reason behind this? Apparently, several local and well-known video game resellers have yet to receive their preorder stock.
The affected video game resellers, which include MaxLink4Gamers (M4G) and Impulse Gaming, posted a response by Square Enix on their respective Facebook pages. Square Enix’s announcement states that distribution of the physical copies of the game are likely affected due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. By the way, these copies include the normal, Deluxe, and 1st Class Edition of FFVIIR. The latter including bonus Summon Materia DLCs and a statue of Cloud Strife and his motorcycle by Play Arts Kai.
On that note, the affected shops also do not have a new availability date ready for FFVIIR physical copies and as such, have posted that they will keep their customer informed and up to date with any new developments.
In the meantime, the FFVIIR demo is still available for download on the PS4. If you haven’t tried it yet, we do recommend that you give a shot.
