We still have slightly more than a week to go before the extended period of Movement Control Order (MCO) concludes on 14 April 2020. After being confined to home for so long, clearly some of us would really like to attend kenduri, pasar malam, parties, marathons, lectures, football matches, and other social gatherings after the MCO is over but seems like you might want to hold on to your plan first.
During today’s daily briefing by the Director-General of Health Malaysia, Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah stated that MoH will not encourage mass gatherings for 6 months to 1 year after the conclusion of MCO, in a response during Q&A session with media members.
Tempoh dua minggu Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP) amat penting kepada kita dan negara.

As for the upcoming Ramadhan where bazaars would be a normal sight everywhere, Dr. Noor Hisham pointed out that we might creative ideas and innovations to approach the occasion without causing mass gatherings. While referencing the 70% increase of food deliveries during the first phase of MCO, he further suggests the implementation of Ramadhan E-Bazaar.
Well, you heard what the man said. It is certainly going to take a while for normality to return but for now, do stay safe, practice good hygiene, and stay home as much as you can. Not only because we don’t want MCO to be extended again but also, so that we can stop the spread of COVID-19 as soon as possible.
