The grand launch of Huawei’s P40 series is slated to commence later tonight. That said, it look like the Chinese brand hasn’t managed to plug all the leaks, as evidenced by the leaked video of its P40 Pro 5G below.
The phone’s official video commercial below was on the YouTube channel named Argus World, giving us the first glimpse of the phone in all its glory. At a glance, its features clearly match the renders that popped up earlier this week. More to the point, it also confirms earlier rumours about the phone’s 50x SuperSensing zoom capability and quad-camera setup.
In one scene, you also catch a glimpse of the phone’s edge-to-edge display, complete with the elongated punch hole. Situated at the top left of the screen.
On a related note, the video advertisement seems to be made for the Australian market, judging from the fine print that is located at the bottom right of the preorder scene. It’s fast and hard to miss initially, but pausing the video at the right time reveals the official Australian link.
Speaking of preorders, Australians who intend to purchase the phone will be able to place on order from 15 April onwards, to which they will also receive a pair of Huawei’s Freebuds 3 (while stocks last, we reckon).
At the time of writing, Huawei Malaysia did not specify local availability or price. So, we’ll just have to wait until later tonight to find out.
