AEON Malaysia has begun to provide personal shopper service at its supermarkets, starting from today onwards. It came just right after the government has directed that only one person per family is allowed to go out and purchase supplies as part of the Movement Control Order.
While AEON didn’t provide the full list of supermarkets that provide the service, a quick check through several individual AEON Mall’s Facebook page shows that it is at least available at plenty of AEON locations. However, we don’t think it is available at AEON Big locations though since no such announcement has been made on its Facebook page.
As you can see below, the service is not only being made available for free but also seems pretty simple to utilize:
All in all, we suppose AEON’s personal shopper service is quite helpful not only for those who need extra assistance when shopping for their supplies but could also be a godsend help for the clueless souls out there such as those can’t differentiate between the different types of fish or vegetables. Like yours truly.
It would be great if AEON Malaysia could turn its personal shopper service into an online service with a drive-thru or drive-by pick up option. Although the company might have covered online personal shopper experience through its deal with HappyFresh but the home grocery delivery service is being overwhelmed by demands at the moment.
Meanwhile, if you are heading to AEON supermarkets or any other public locations, please don’t to forget about social distancing. Additionally, please practice good hygiene at all times and just stay home as much as possible, so that together we can stop the spread of COVID-19.
