Black Shark, the mobile gaming sub-brand of Xiaomi, has officially announced that it is will be bringing in its FunCooler Pro cooling accessory to Malaysia. The accessory’s arrival comes nearly a month after the gaming sub-brand launched the Black Shark 3.
Designed to alleviate overheating while gaming, the FunCooler Pro is an accessory that can be attached to the back of any smartphone, and not just the Black Shark 3 and Black Shark 3 Pro. Internally, the cooler houses a seven-bladed fan that spins at a speed of 6200 RPM. Along with a semiconductor refrigeration chip that makes uses of thermoelectric effects to help cool the phone down.
On paper, the device is capable of reducing the temperature of a phone running PUBG Mobile by 19°C, while also dropping the heat off the edges by 10°C. Further, the FunCooler Pro is also relatively silently, achieving a maximum of 34dB while spinning at full speed.
The FunCooler Pro will go on sale in Malaysia starting 24 March, and will be exclusively sold via Shopee. Price-wise, the accessory will retail for RM199, in conjunction with the online retailer’s Shopee Brands Festival that is currently taking place and will conclude on 4 April.
