Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIES) has announced that Capcom’s Monster Hunter: World on PS4 will be provided as a free game for PlayStation Plus (PS Plus) subscribers. Do take note that the game will only be distributed at no charge for 5 weeks, from 18 March to 21 April 2020.
This is most likely to help gamers to bide their time during the current social distancing order that has been adopted by various countries across the world to combat the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak. That said, this would be the best opportunity for newcomers to actually try out Capcom’s highly acclaimed Monster Hunter series for themselves and with a group of friends.

Once claimed, the entirety of Monster Hunter: World’s content will be open for every gamer, provided that they’re subscribed to PS Plus. Players can play the game solo or invite a group of friends to hunt gigantic monsters across various locations.
Additionally, Sony also announced that the game’s major expansion, Iceborne, will be on sale with a 30 percent discount during the PlayStation Store’s Mega March Sale. The online sale will be held from 18 March to 31 March 2020.
