The production of the iPhone SE2 was put on hold indefinitely. But the phone, also sometimes referred to as the iPhone 9, may have a plus-sized model. This version of the device was referenced in the code of the upcoming iOS 14.
9to5Mac found evidence of the device will also be running Apple’s A13 Bionic chip. It will feature a solid state home button like the one found on the iPhone 7 and 8. And while it will only have Touch ID rather than Face ID, it will still come with NFC.
While there is evidence of the a plus-sided version of the iPhone SE2, the size of the Plus model was not discovered. The base SE2 itself is thought to come with a 4.7-inch LCD screen. If it is indeed called the iPhone 9, then its plus-sized version may be a 5.5-inch device, mirroring the size of the iPhone 8 Plus.
All that being said, it will be awhile before we find out for sure if such a device exists. After all, production of the base iPhone SE2 has been delayed, and its announcement supposedly pushed back. It will be quite the wait before Apple makes an official reveal, considering the global situation right now.
