Luxury watchmaker Tag Heuer announced its second generaton Connected smartwatch three years ago. This year, the company announced the third one, featuring an updated look and improvements all around.
The third generation Tag Heuer smartwatch now comes with new sensors for fitness and sports tracking. These include heart rate, compass, acceleromoeter, and gyroscope sensors. It’s also running a Qualcomm Snapdragon 3100 chipset, dropping the Intel chips it used before.
Though when compared to other smartwatches, this new Tag Heuer Connected conspicuously lacks sleep tracking. Which makes sense, since you’ll still have to charge its 430mAh battery every night. It also doesn’t get LTE connectivity of any sort.
All this is all packed under an 1.39-inch 400 x 400 OLED screen, and in a 45mm case. It’s slightly smaller than before, but this comes at the cost of the complicated modular models. Now, you just pick a strap, and the material and colour for the case.
The new Tag Heuer Connected comes in stainless steel or titanium cases, with rubber straps. These are priced at RM6950 and RM9150, respectively. You have the option to get steel bracelets to pair with the steel cases, but this will cost RM600 more.
