Back in November, there were rumours of a new Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater game being in the works. One pro skater seemingly confirmed it in a podcast even, but that part ended up getting clipped out. Now, someone else seems to have made mention of the game, before taking their words back soon after.
Twitter user TheNathanNS shared a screenshot of a now removed Facebook post by experimental punk rock group The Death Set. In the post, the band said that they licensed five songs to a Tony Hawk game for this year. But they didn’t let slip exactly when in the year the game will be released.
New Tony Hawk Pro Skater game inbound!
Keeping hopes low after the long, long row of abysmal games since Tony Hawk's RIDE.
But this also seems like a major NDA breach. pic.twitter.com/gGUiNZL6i8

Beyond this latest episode of accidental announcement, there’s nothing new going on regarding the status of the game. This supposed upcoming Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater game could be a remake of the first two games, or it could be something else entirely. It’s also possible that the legendary skater struck a deal with another publisher to start a brand new series.
Either way, we won’t really know until a proper announcement is made. And with the current situation seeing so many gaming events being cancelled, it’s gotten even more uncertain when we can expect an announcement.
