In a rather major move to stop the spread of COVID-19, President Donald Trump has announced that the US is implementing a travel ban on Europe. In other words, travellers will soon no longer able to travel from Europe into the US.
In his speech, President Trump pointed out that the European Union didn’t take the same precautions as per US when the coronavirus outbreak started. Apparently, this led to cluster cases in the country which was believed to be seeded by travellers coming from Europe.

Hence, the US government will be suspending all travel from Europe for the next 30 days starting from this coming Friday. Interesting enough, the only country within Europe that is exempted from the travel ban in United Kingdom who already have 373 confirmed cases and 6 deaths according to WHO’s stats as of 11PM last night.
As a comparison, Malaysia already have travel restrictions on certain affected regions throughout the world but not on a whole continent. It goes without saying the move by the US is likely to have a major impact throughout the world.
