Last month, Touch ‘n Go announced that its TNG RFID tag will be made available for purchase. At the time, the company also announced that you can get the tag from the company’s fitment centres. The number of these fitment centres have since been increased, with new ones in operation in Pulau Pinang, Perak and Johor.
Touch ‘n Go has just announced 18 new additions to its list of fitment centres across the three states. Unfortunately, it looks like some of them will only be operating until 31 March 2020. This includes all three fitment centres in Perak, which began operating just earlier this month.
To quickly recap, the TNG RFID tags are priced at RM35. Its sale followed the end of its pilot phase over the last 18 months, which saw the installation of the RFID tag for over 1 million users. The company also announced that self-fitment kits are coming soon, but stopped short of providing an exact date. These RFID tags are supported as toll payment methods at 23 highways throughout Peninsula Malaysia.
TNG has also provided a link to a page that shows the location of all its RFID fitment centres. New fitment centres will also be added to the page when the begin operating in the future.
