About a month ago, we reported that Sony’s successor to its WH-1000XM3 ANC headphones, the WH-1000XM4, had passed SIRIM certification and also indicating that an official launch for it wasn’t far away. Now it seems that new images of the alleged ANC wireless headphones have leaked.
Images of the supposed WH-1000XM4 were posted via Twitter by Mishaal Rhaman (@MishaalRahman). It’s the first time we’ve seen any physical depictions of the headphones in the flesh. In comparison to its predecessor, the headphone cups appear to be slightly thicker. Otherwise, the overall design of the headset looks identical to the last three generations of the series.
Photos and the manual of the Sony WH-1000XM4, the successor to Sony's excellent XM3 Bluetooth wireless headphones, just went up on Brazil's Anatel (equivalent to the FCC).

Sadly, there’s not a whole lot of detail regarding the WH-1000XM4’s specification or hardware. However, we do know that Sony’s 4th generation ANC wireless headphones are assembled in Malaysia and that it will use USB-C for charging and a 3.5mm port for wired listening.
At the time of writing, we still don’t know when the headphones will be launching. However, we’re beginning to see a slashing in the pricing of the WH-1000XM3 on online retail stores like Lazada and Shopee, meaning that a launch could very well be around the corner.
