A live photo of the Nubia Red Magic 5G was uploaded by GameBench ahead of its expected launch in March or April 2020. The website claims that the phone is a pre-release unit provided by Nubia for testing.
From the photo, Red Magic 5G differs from its predecessor in terms of design and layout. For starters, it features an X-shaped pattern on its back panel with a red to blue gradient colour scheme going from left to right. Besides that, in the center is a vertical strip that houses its triple camera setup, as well as the phone’s name and logo which appears to light up.
On its left side is a red button, an air vent and a pogo connector. Furthermore, Gizmochina reports that images of the Red Magic 5G have recently appeared on China’s TENAA website, which gives us more insight to phone’s design.
The device’s right side appears to have two shoulder buttons on both sides, a second air vent, as well as a volume rocker and lock button. Meanwhile, a punch-hole selfie camera is seen on the top left of its display. Although not shown in the images, the phone is expected to have a 3.5mm headphone jack and USB-C port on its bottom.
So far the confirmed key specs of the Nubia Red Magic 5G which were previously revealed by CEO Ni Fei includes a 144Hz display, Snapdragon 865 SoC, low latency casting support, and 80W fast charging.
