Vivo has launched the iQoo 3, the latest entry in its gaming line. It’s a series that never really made it outside of China until now. But with the iQoo 3 launching simultaneously in China and India, this marks the first time the line is available outside of its home country. It also marks the gaming sub-brand going independent, much like POCO from Xiaomi.
The iQoo 3 comes with a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED Full HD+ display with a fingerprint sensor underneath. It has a standard 60Hz refresh rate, but comes with a 180Hz touch sampling rate.On the right side are two shoulder triggers which the company calls Monster Touch buttons.
On the inside, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, a 4400mAh battery with support for 55W Super FlashCharge, and runs its own iQoo UI 1.0 based on Android 10.
For cameras, the iQoo 3 runs a 48MP + 13MP telephoto + 12MP ultra-side + 2MP depth sensor combo at the back. In front, it has a single 16MP shooter.
Interestingly, the iQoo 3 has different RAM and storage configurations for both the Chinese and Indian markets. The available options for India are 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB for INR36990 (~RM2184), INR39990 (~RM2361) and INR44990 (~RM2657), respectively. And only the last one is 5G ready.
China not only gets more variants, but they are also all 5G-ready. The variants themselves are 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, 12GB + 128GB, and 12GB + 256GB. These are priced at CNY3598 (~RM2168), CNY3798 (~RM2289), CNY3998 (~RM2409) and CNY4398 (~RM2650), respectively. Despite being available outside of China for the first time, there’s no indication that it will be making its way here just yet.
