Another week, another interesting news from the AMD. After announcing the release of Ryzen 5 3500X to markets outside of China, this time around the company has revealed that it will be releasing the Ryzen 3 2300X into Malaysia next month.
Originally announced back in September 2018, you might be wondering what is actually interesting about this ageing Ryzen 2000 series processor. Well, prior to this, the chip was made available only to OEM and system integrators.
With a base clock speed of 3.5GHz, the Ryzen 3 2300X processor also offers boost clock of up to 4.0GHz. The AM4-based 65W quad-core quad-thread chip also comes standard with Wraith Stealth as its cooler.
To be available in the market starting from 3 March onwards for RM 299, the Ryzen 3 2300X is certainly one of the most cost-effective quad-core CPU release at the moment. However, do note that this chip is a pure CPU and doesn’t come with an integrated graphics which means there is an added cost to it since you need to get a dedicated graphics card to pair with the Ryzen 3 2300X.
