Xiaomi has officially unveiled the new Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro in China. The latest entry into the Mi series of smartphones were originally planned to debut globally during the now-cancelled MWC 2020 in Barcelona.
To start things off, both Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro feature a curved 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. They also feature a punch-hole cutout at the top-left corner which houses a 20MP selfie camera. Furthermore, both Xiaomi phones pack the Snapdragon 865 chipset paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, support wireless charging capabilities, and 8K video recording.
The Mi 10 Pro specifically features internal storage of up to 512GB, and a 4500mAh battery that can be charged at up to 50W via cable and 30W wireless. As for camera specifications, the Pro variant packs a quad-camera setup consisting of Samsung’s 108MP sensor for its main, a 12MP telephoto with 2x zoom, 8MP long telephoto with 10x hybrid zoom, and a 20MP ultra-wide lens.
The standard Xiaomi Mi 10 is equipped with an internal storage of up to 256GB, and a 4780mAh battery that supports 30W charging via cable and wireless. Camera-wise, the Mi 10’s quad-camera setup only features minor downgrades compared to its Pro sibling. It still sports a 108MP main camera but sports a 2MP depth sensor and 2MP macro shooter instead, as well as featuring a 13MP ultra-wide angle lens.
Configurations and prices of the Mi 10 Pro include 8GB/256GB for CNY4999 (~RM2965), 12GB/256GB at CNY5499 (~RM3260), and 12GB/512GB at CNY5999 (~RM3558). The phone will be available in Blue and White colours.
Whereas the standard Mi 10 model comes in 8GB/128GB at CNY3999 (~RM2370), 8GB/256GB at CNY4299 (~RM2550), and 12GB/256GB at CNY4699 (~RM2786). It will be released in Peach, Green, and Black colours.
The Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro will be on sale in China from 14 February 2020 onwards. The company has confirmed that it will still launch the phones in Europe at a later date. Xiaomi Malaysia has not revealed when the new Mi phones will arrive locally.
