Now that the local prices for the Samsung Galaxy S20 family devices are out, Celcom has also announced its postpaid plans for the three devices. The telco also happens to be tying the new Samsung flagships to the recently launched MEGA postpaid plan.
Celcom offers the phone in either its EasyPhone program, or a more straightforward bundle. Using the former, you can get the Samsung Galaxy S20 from between RM99 a month to RM151 a month. This becomes RM118 – RM170 for the Plus model, and RM167 – RM218 for the Galaxy S20 Ultra.
There’s also the option to pay for the device upfront, as you’d expect. The base Samsung Galaxy S20 will be priced at RM1848, RM2248 and RM2548 for the XL, L and M add-ons, respectively.
For the Galaxy S20 Plus, it’s RM2208, RM2598 and RM2908 for the XL, L and M pass. And finally, the Galaxy S20 Ultra will be priced at RM3108, RM3508 and RM3798 for the XL, L and M pass, respectively.
But with all that said, you’ll only get access to the Lightning Speed half of the available options. You’ll still retain the flexibility of the MEGA plan, with some caveats. For the EasyPhone contract, you’re free to change to any other Lightning Speed add-on, but your monthly payment for the phone will also change accordingly. If you’ve paid upfront for the device, you’ll be free to upgrade to a higher tier plan, but downgrading will incur a penalty.
If you’re alright with that, then you can pre-order your Samsung Galaxy S20 device from Celcom while you sign up for the new MEGA postpaid plan. For more information, visit the telco’s dedicated page, linked below.
