Under Armour (UA) has officially launched the HOVR Machina in Malaysia during an event held in Sunway Pyramid on 7 February 2020. An update to last year’s HOVR Infinite, the brand’s new footwear is more lightweight and provides better comfort, traction and durability.
The UA HOVR Machina features an “uncaged” design which provides soft cushioning and eliminates any additional weight. According to UA senior training specialist Muhammad Syukri Bin Azman, the Machina offers 20 percent more HOVR foam cushioning than its predecessor, and also provides more energy return thanks to UA’s new propulsion plate technology.
Furthermore, the new footwear is also equipped with a Bluetooth chip which allows it to seamlessly connect to UA’s MapMyRun app that tracks and analyses your running metrics. The real-time data is also used in the app’s Form Coaching feature which provides you with instantaneous feedback during your runs.
The HOVR Machina retails at RM699 and is now available at all Under Armour outlets and authorised resellers in Malaysia. The new running shoes come in various sizes for men and women, as well as a wide selection of colours. Meanwhile, the UA MapMyRun mobile application is available for free on both Android and iOS devices.
