First announced to the world back in December, it appears that the new Nokia 2.3 has made its way into Malaysia. However, the arrival of the budget-friendly Android One phone in our market doesn’t follow the usual route though.
Instead of heading directly into retail store, the new Nokia 2.3 is being made available for unifi customers first. As a clarification, we don’t mean just unifi Mobile customers but also unifi Home, unifi Lite, and unifi Air customers.
Furthermore, unifi is offering the device at RM 399 instead of its standard RM 499 price tag. Inside the FAQ document [pdf] at its official website, unifi pointed out that the Nokia 2.3 doesn’t come with any contract at all.
As for non-unifi customer that want to get their hands on the phone, all they need to do is subscribe to any of unifi services in order to be eligible to purchase it at participating TMpoint branches [pdf].
For those who prefer to purchase the phone at normal retail store, we are now reaching out to HMD Global to find out more information about the general availability of Nokia 2.3 in our market. So, stay tuned.
