The Samsung Galaxy A71 looks to be quite the phone, based on our experience with the device. And if its leaked price is accurate, it’s looks to be worth its asking price as well. Overall, it looks to be not too bad a phone to pick up when it launches.
But while we wait for that to happen, there’s the question of if it stacks well against the existing competition. A number of phones have been released around the tail end of last year, with comparable specs and prices.
So with that, let’s take another quick look at Samsung Galaxy A71, and two other similar phones, the OPPO Reno2, and the Xiaomi Mi Note 10, and see if they stack up well against one another.
The Samsung Galaxy A71 is obviously the newest one among them. It also happens to be the lightest one among the three, while also having a larger surface area. That being said, it is also the only one that’s not using the Qualcomm Snapdragpn 730G, which generally performs better than the standard 730 it has.
Being new also means that it runs Android 10 right out of the box. Everything else on the spec sheet either is comparable one another, or sits in between the other two.
As for price, the Samsung Galaxy A71 would also appear to be the most affordable of the three. The OPPO Reno2 launched with a price of RM2299, while the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 came with a RM2099 price tag. This is, of course, provided that the leaked price mentioned earlier is accurate, as according to the leak, the Galaxy A71 will be priced at RM1799 at launch.
Of course, we’re not saying that one phone is better than the other. At least, not yet. The Galaxy A71 looks to be a good phone, but you’ll naturally have to wait before you can get it. But if you needed a comparable phone and decide not to wait, these are two alternatives that come to mind.
