We have quite a number of game devs in the country, from homegrown local names to much bigger, international ones. And we have one more name to add to the latter. UK-based dev and publisher Double Eleven has announced the opening of a new studio in Bangsar South.
Double Eleven has previously worked on a number of well known games, including LittleBigPlanet PS Vita. The studio is also responsible for porting Limbo to the PlayStation handheld. It has also worked on games for current-gen consoles as well as PC, including the likes of the Lego Harry Potter series, Crackdown 3, and Minecraft Dungeons. It also published Rust, as well as the Goat Simulator on consoles.
The new studio will provide a “full complement of development capabilities including quality assurance, art, software engineering and production.” It will be working with the main team in the UK on “current and next generation titles”.
The studio itself opens on an unspecified date in spring. That said, recruitment for the new studio will start in February, for a variety of positions, including Studio Manager. Hit the link below if you’re interested in working in the video games industry, or for the company specifically.
