The first trailer for Black Widow which dropped about a month or so ago is great. This new one is even better. The film will be set in between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War and promises to be a psychological action-drama centred around the badass female character whose past has mostly been kept a mystery in the films, and her family who until this point was barely even mentioned in the MCU.
What’s awesome about the new trailer is that on top of showing us a little bit of the dysfunctional Romanoff family dynamic, it also introduces us to the villain, Taskmaster and boy what a terrific introduction it is.
In the comics, Taskmaster is sometimes portrayed as an anti-hero more than an outright villain, so it would be interesting to see how he interacts and collides with Black Widow and her family, all of whom tend to operate in the grey area as well. Click here to read all about Taskmaster.

Black Widow not only has a stacked cast working in front of the cameras, including Scarlett Johansson, Florence Pugh and David Harbour, but also an intriguing bunch of people working behind. It’s directed by Cate Shortland (Berlin Syndrome, Lore) from a screenplay by Ned Benson (The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby) alongside newcomer Jac Schaeffer.
Black Widow hits Malaysian cinemas on 30 April 2020.
