Steam’s Winter Sale has come and gone, but Valve’s digital video game storefront isn’t done just yet. According to a leak posted on Reddit, the next Steam sale is expected to arrive by next week in correspondence to the upcoming Chinese New Year celebration.
The leak appears to be an official message from Valve inviting developers/partners to submit their games for the upcoming Lunar New Year Sale. According to the message, the sale is expected to run for 4 days, starting from 23 to 27 January 2020.
At this time, no developers or games have confirmed participation in the upcoming sale just yet. But regardless, it’s safe to assume that plenty of Triple-A and indie video game titles will be on discount by the time it hits. As stated in the leaked message, do keep in mind that discounts are not applicable to recently released games.
If you’ve missed out on the previous Steam promotion, then the Lunar New Year Sale is definitely something to look forward to – especially if you’re planning to pick up discounted games in the beginning of the year. We’ll definitely keep you posted with more details once Valve has made an official announcement.
