The realme 5i was just launched in Vietnam yesterday, but it looks like the phone is already making its way here to our shores. The announcement came from realme Malaysia’s Facebook page, the same way the Vietnamese announcement was made last week.
On the post itself, the company revealed a little of what to expect of the realme 5i. For one, the phone will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset, and a 5000mAh battery. Part of the post also reads “Ultra-Wide Quad Camera” but stops short of listing them down.
That said, judging from the previous announcement, it’s fair to say that we’ll be seeing the familiar 12MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP combo. Chances are it will also come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage as a possible configurations. No word on any other configurations for now, but if there are, the launch event will be where the company will announce them.
Of course, local pricing and availability details will only be revealed next week, at the end of the launch event. But judging from the launch of the realme 5 and 5s, you’ll probably see a price tag of around RM799.
