As 2019 comes to a close, Valve announced its official Best of 2019 charts. These shows the best performing games on Steam, be they top sellers, most played or new releases. This also included VR and Early Access titles.
Some games are, as you’d expect, top performers in multiple categories. For example, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, crowned Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2019, claims a spot in the highest tier for top sellers, top new releases, and most played game. It’s also one of the games on Steam that’s most played using controllers.
Unsurprisingly, a number of older games continue to maintain their popularity over the years. These include the likes of Grand Theft Auto V, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, as well as free titles like Dota 2 and Warframe, claiming spots in the top category of most played and top sellers.
Naturally, a number of these games are also being discounted for a short period of time. Some are pretty heavily discounted too, with prices slashed by up to 75%.
Feel free to check out the list themselves, as well as Valve’s scoring system, using the links below. Who knows, you may even pick up a new game while you’re at it. And you’ll want to do it soon, before the new digital tax kicks in.
