Facebook and the Pokémon Company have announced that two Pokémon games are released on the social media platform app via the Gaming tab, and also on the in-beta Facebook Gaming app. The two titles are Pokémon Medallion Battle and Pokémon Tower Battle, developed by Bombay Play and GCTurbo respectively.
Pokémon Medallion Battle is a digital card battle strategy game, where players collect, battle and evolve Pokémon in medallion form. Furthermore, in the true spirit of a Pokémon game, they can also embark on a journey with their companions to win gym badges and catch various Pokémon to add to their trusty Pokédex. According to Facebook, new Pokémon will be introduced to the game every month, which allows players to create and improve their decks.
Pokémon Tower Battle finds players competing against one another by stacking Pokémon to create the tallest Pokémon towers. In addition to the tower building game, players will also get to discover, catch and level-up rare Pokémon. From there, they can compete online in real-time against friends or across a global leaderboard.
So far, there aren’t any in-app purchases for either Pokémon game. Pokémon Medallion Battle and Pokémon Tower Battle are free to play and now available in Malaysia on Facebook’s mobile application, as well as the currently in-beta Facebook Gaming app.
