Announced to the world back in July, the Galaxy Tab S6 is the highest-end Android tablet that Samsung has released for 2019. Not long after that, the industry has noticed that the Korean company is working to release a 5G variant of the tablet.
Thanks to a promo in South Korea, Samsung has quietly confirmed the existence of the Galaxy Tab S6 5G. In addition to that, the support page for the tablet is now online on Samsung’s official website for South Korea although the content is still empty for the time being.
Hence, we have no idea what Samsung has really packed into the tablet although judging from the photo on the promo that we’ve mentioned earlier, it seems that there are noticeable physical changes to the tablet. As a reference, the existing LTE variant of Galaxy Tab S6 is equipped with a 10.5-inch WQXGA Super AMOLED display that also supports S Pen which can be magnetically attached on the tablet’s back
Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, the unit in Malaysia also comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage alongside 13MP and 5MP cameras on its back and 8MP selfie camera. Given that the official Malaysian price for Galaxy Tab S6 5G with LTE is RM 3,099, it is quite possible that you have to pay even more for the 5G variant.

We don’t expect the tablet to make its way into our market though as there is no consumer accessible 5G network in Malaysia at the moment as opposed to South Korea that already has an active commercial 5G network. By the time we have such network in 2021, the Galaxy Tab S6 5G might already be considered as obsolete.
