Remember when HONOR announced last week that it was creating a limited edition version of its HONOR 9X smartphone with local streetwear brand, Stoned & Co.? It appears that the company has finally set a launch date for its repackaged smartphone.
According to the Chinese smartphone brand, the HONOR 9X Stoned & Co. edition phone will be available from 20 December onwards, and it wasn’t kidding about its limited edition status. In total, the company is releasing a grand total of 200 units only; the first 100 units will be up for grabs via its official online store page at the stroke of midnight on 20 December, while the remaining 100 units will be made available at the HONOR Experience Store (HES) at Sunway Pyramid from 11am onwards.
In order to give all 200 units a sense of uniqueness, each unit will bear a serial code of its own, starting from “001” to “200” on the box. As for how much the phone costs, the retail price is the same as the standard edition HONOR 9X, which is RM999.
Beyond the aesthetics, the HONOR 9X Stoned & Co. edition retains identical hardware to the standard edition. That includes the same Kirin 701F SoC, the same amount of RAM and storage, and the same triple-camera main array around the back.
