ASUS has officially launched its ROG Strix Radeon RX 5500 XT graphics card. The card’s availability was made available the same day AMD’s embargo for its new entry-level GPU lifted.
Like all custom-cooled graphics cards, ASUS’ iteration of the Radeon RX 5500 XT features the brand’s own cooling solutions, custom PCB, and power design. This includes powerful dual-fans with its new Axial technology, plus a 0dB mode that only spins up the fans when the GPU reaches a certain temperature.
As with all Radeon RX 5500 XT cards, this particular ROG Strix variant features 8GB of GDDR6 graphics memory, 22 Compute Units, and 1408 stream processors. Because it is based on AMD’s new 7nm Navi GPU architecture, the card supports the new PCIe 4.0 interface.
In regards to its clockspeeds, the card has an OC mode boost clock of 1865MHz and a default gaming mode base clock of 1737MHz. For ports, the card comes with one HDMI 2.0b port, and three DisplayPort 1.4 port.
The ASUS ROG Strix Radeon RX 5500 XT is already available at all authorised ASUS resellers and partner stores and retails at an SRP of RM1199.
