As promised, Celcom has begun the pre-order for Apple Watch Series 5 under its EasyPhone program, ahead of its public rollout on 13 December. At the same time, the telco has also revealed more information regarding the cellular support for Apple Watch LTE, which will be made available through a service called Celcom NUMBERshare.
Similar to what we’ve seen with Digi, Celcom NUMBERshare service is only available for specific Celcom Postpaid plans which we’ve listed below:
– Celcom Mobile Gold Plus
– Celcom Mobile Gold Supreme
– Celcom Mobile Platinum
– Celcom Mobile Platinum Plus
In case you couldn’t remember the name of your Celcom Postpaid plan, the Celcom Mobile Gold Plus has a base monthly fee of RM 98. So, if the base monthly fee of your bill costs more than that, then you’ll likely be eligible to subscribe to Celcom NUMBERshare service for your Apple Watch.
To sign-up for the service, you don’t have to visit any physical Celcom dealer though. All you need to do is run the Set Up Mobile Data option under the Mobile Data section of the Watch app in your iPhone. In general, the steps are similar to what we’ve laid down in our guide with the exception that the telco is now Celcom instead of Digi.
Meanwhile, the Celcom NUMBERshare costs an additional RM 15 on top of your monthly bills. That being said, customers will be provided with 6 months of free subscription first before the telco begin charging them. For further information, just head on to Celcom’s office website right here.
