Rumours of a Resident Evil 3 remake have been making their rounds ever since it was first broken by YouTuber Spawn Wave. Capcom has also teased it with its Steam Autumn Sale promo image. And now, we get one more piece of evidence of the game’s existence, in the form of its cover art.
The Resident Evil 3 remake cover arts first showed up on Gamestat. For those who are wondering, it’s which tracks games added to the PlayStation Network. The site featured the cover art for both the Japanese and international versions of the game. At the time of writing though, while the games are still listed, their cover art seems to have been removed.
Interestingly, there looks to be a Z Version for the Japanese release of the game. The standard cover also gives us a peek at Jill and Carlos’ new look, with a slightly slimmer Nemesis looming over in the background.
Sources to Eurogamer have also confirmed that the cover arts are real. This may mean that the game is on track for the rumoured 2020 release. As for the official announcement, chances are it will be made during The Game Awards 2019, if Capcom intends to release the game early next year.
