Ever since its original debut, the Nintendo Switch has recently seen two updated releases with a newer version with an upgraded battery capacity, and also the portable-only Switch Lite. Local gaming store Impulse Gaming has recently started offering consumers to trade-up their existing Switch consoles to the one of the updated versions from a low price of RM99.
Impulse Gaming is accepting first generation Nintendo Switch consoles regardless of condition – including damaged ones – but requires customers to adhere to their provided terms & conditions first before deciding to bring in their devices. From there, the store will examine your console and will adjust the trade-up price accordingly.
It has been two years since the debut of the Nintendo Switch hybrid gaming console, and it has been one of the company’s successful and fastest selling devices to date. Despite being a favourite among fans and gamers alike, the console did come with some minor flaws such as a moderate battery life and the notorious JoyCon drifting issue.
The new Switch Lite is more compact than its predecessor and offers a battery life of up to seven hours on a full charge, but lacks the ability to be docked as a home console and does not have removable JoyCons. On the other hand, the newer version of the Nintendo device retains the original’s functionality as a home and portable console, has improved JoyCons, and a battery life of up to nine hours.
The Nintendo Switch trade-up programme is applicable to all of Impulse Gaming’s branches in Malaysia. For more information, do visit the store’s Facebook page with the link below.
