Back in March of this year, Epic Games announced that it had attained the exclusive rights to publish Quantic Dream’s titles, such as Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls, and Detroit: Become Human on the PC. Now it seems that the latter title has been given an official launch date.
According to Quantic Dream, Detroit: Become Human will be available on PC via Epic Games Store from 12 December onwards, with preorders for the game already open. Additionally, a demo of the game’s opening scene will be made available at the same time as the game’s launch, giving newcomers to the Quantic Dream games a taste of the full game.
Unlike the original PlayStation 4 version, Quantic Dream is insisting that the PC version of Detroit: Become Human is not just a simple port and will, in fact, be redesigned to make full use of PC input methods (i.e. the keyboard and mouse), as well as take advantage of the PC’s power to run at 4K and at 60 fps. Provided, of course, your current desktop setup has sufficient hardware to run the game at those resolutions and frame rates.
Detroit: Become Human is a choice-dependent title which focuses on three main characters – Connor, Kara, and Markus. Like all Quantic Dream titles, your choice of actions for each character has consequences. Consequences that will the flow of the entire gameplay, as well as the ending of the title.
