PC gamers could finally “finish the fight” as Microsoft has announced that Halo: The Masterchief Collection will be coming to PC on the official Microsoft Store and Steam. The collection also includes the Anniversary editions of Halo:Combat Evolved and Halo 2, as well as spin-offs such as Halo 3: ODST and the highly acclaimed Halo: Reach. For those wondering, the collection unfortunately does not include 2015’s Halo 5: Guardians.
Not counting the Halo Wars collection of games, gamers last experienced a true Halo game on the PC platform with Halo: Combat Evolved back in 2001 and its sequel Halo 2 in 2004. Ever since then, its sequels and spin-offs including the highly acclaimed Halo: Reach remained as exclusives on Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles.
Halo: The Masterchief Collection bundle is slated for release sometime in 2020 with pre-orders now open on Steam for an attractive price of RM65. While the bundle includes the Halo titles previously listed, Microsoft has stated that it will release each of the games in stages according to chronological order.
This is then followed by excellent news: seeing that the events of Halo: Reach predates the other titles, the game will be the first game from the collection to be released on 3 December and can now be pre-ordered separately for only RM23.50.
