Besides the ZenBook Duo and ZenBook Pro Duo, ASUS also announced the availability of its ZenBook 13 Edition 30 ultrabook. While identical to the standard ZenBook 13 launched earlier this year, what sets this notebook apart from other ZenBook models produced this year is its design. That is meant to be in celebration of ASUS’ 30th anniversary in the ICT industry.
Instead of the typical all-metallic design, the Edition 30 features a more toned down but still equally luxurious aesthetic. The back of the notebook showcases a pearl white leather cover, complete with a specially designed 30th anniversary, 18-karat rose gold-plated emblem to add to the luxury.
Specs-wise, the Edition 30 comes either with an 8th generation Intel Core i5-8265U or Core i7-8565U, a maximum of 8GB LPDDR3 RAM, up to 1TB of storage via an NVMe PCIe SSD, and an NVIDIA GeForce MX150 discrete GPU. Additionally, its display is a 13.3-inch Full HD NanoEdge display, while the trackpad uses ASUS’ ScreenPad 2.0 that provides users with access to a digital numeric pad. Plus controls to a variety of media-related apps including Spotify and YouTube.
For ports, the Edition 30 ships out with a USB-C 3.1 Gen2 port, USB-A Gen2, an HDMI port, MicroSD card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The ASUS ZenBook 13 Edition 30 is already available at all official ASUS stores and authorized resellers. The notebook starts at a price of RM5199 for the model with the Core i5 CPU, while the variant with the Core i7 processor will cost RM5999.
