Xiaomi’s next event is less than 24 hours away, but that hasn’t stopped the Chinese brand from releasing teasers and details of its upcoming products. It’s latest teasers seem to detail the Mi CC9 Pro and its chipset.
According to the posters, it appears that the Mi CC9 Pro will be running on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730G SoC. Contrary to the initial reports that suggested that the phone would run on the higher-end Snapdragon 855+ SoC. The choice of chipset seems apt, especially since the original Mi CC9 runs on the Snapdragon 710 SoC.
Additionally, Xiaomi also teased that it is adding a feature to the CC9 Pro “waterfall display” design. As shown, the curved side screen on the phone glows and is utilized as a notification light.
One of the teasers also reveals that the Mi CC9 Pro will be packing a large 5260mAh battery. In addition, the battery will also support the brand’s Mi Charge Turbo 30W fast-charging technology. Xiaomi says that the smartphone can be filled up to 58% in just 30 minutes, while fully charging it will supposedly take just 65 minutes.
Moving on to the camera, one of the teasers hints at one of the main camera sensors actually being a 108MP, leading us to believe that the ISP may have been provided by Samsung. On another note, it seems that one of the camera sensors will actually come with 5x optical zoom, while the selfie camera of the Mi CC9 Pro will house a 32MP sensor.
Needless to say, the amount of information detailing the upcoming Mi CC9 Pro is staggering and, if found to be true, would make for a very interesting camera phone. In any case, we’ll just have to wait until tomorrow for Xiaomi to drop the news.
