Apple’s iOS 13.2 brought a number of new features, including support for the new AirPods Pro. It looks like it’s also hinting at something that’s still unreleased. 9to5Mac found evidence of an as-of-yet unreleased Apple Smart Battery Case for the iPhone 11.
The code in iOS 13.2 came with an image of the upcoming Smart Battery Case, which looks a lot like the ones that came before it. There’s not much else that’s been revealed, at least as far as details are concerned, as only an image was found.
Apple has already stated that its most recent line of phones are the longest lasting in terms of battery life. Having the case would obviously improve it further, but at the cost of some added thickness.
There’s no indication as to when this will be officially announced and made available. That said, the ones for the iPhone X series was made available earlier this year. With that in mind, it’s possible that these new ones for the iPhone 11 will be available early next year. Though it will still be better to wait for an official announcement by Apple.
